Ardnamurchan Distillery

This has to be one of the greenest distilleries in Scotland. All the power for the distillery is created by a hydro-electric generator in the river. All the hot water is produced using a biomass boiler which uses wooden chips from the local forrest. It is the most westerly distillery on Scotland’s main land and has stunning views of the surrounding water. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on their whisky as the plan for Ardnamurchan is to release their single malt in 2021.
