Caol Ila, meaning the sound of Islay, is by far the largest distillery on the island by capacity. They produce a very consistent style of whisky and always seem to find the perfect balance between smoke and flavours impacted by the wood. It has been a backbone for many of Diageo’s successful blends, most notably being Johnnie Walker Black Label.
