Glengyle Distillery

The little sibling to Springbank, Glengyle (also known as Kilkerran) was opened by Mr. Hedley Wright as a way of ensuring Campbeltown maintained its regional whisky status. When you have a wander round, it is clear it is almost a Frankenstein’s monster of a distillery acquiring stills, mash tun’s etc. from distilleries past and present. The spirit is a tad lighter than Springbank with more sweetness coming through, as well. Keep an eye out for any Cadenhead releases but they fly like hotcakes!
