Jackton Distillery

Lowland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Region

Lowlands

Owner

Raer Scotch Whisky Ltd

Founded

2020 | James Kean

Jackton distillery was established at O’Cathian Farm in South Lanarkshire by East Kilbride property developer James Kean and his family. It produces gin, vodka, and malt whisky, while also bottling third-party blended whiskies under the Raer brand name. The site includes both dunnage and racked warehouses, and a shop, despite the current low-profile of the distillery. New-make spirit is filled into bourbon, sherry, rum, port and wine casks. Malting barley is grown on the Jackton estate and there are plans to add floor maltings to the enterprise.
