Kilchoman is one of Islay’s newest distilleries, founded in 2005. Much like many of the other Islay distilleries, Kilchoman has their own maltings with 25% of their barley coming from Islay. Alongside the typical bourbon and sherry casks, Kilchoman have used sauternes, red wine, rum, port, madeira and cognac casks.
