Nc’nean was started in 2017 and finds itself on the most westerly tip of mainland Scotland. The name is short for Neachneohain, an ancient witch-queen in Scottish folklore. They are the first carbon net zero distillery in Scotland. The distillery is powered by renewable energies, organic barley is used in production and 99% of their waste is recycled.
