The Isle of Raasay distillery was the first legal distillery ever on the island. The only way to access the island is a ferry from the better known Isle of Skye. They employ over 25 people of the island which is about an 8th of the population. Their first release was finished in red wine casks giving it a lovely rich sweetness.
