Springbank is a name that resonates deeply with whisky purists. Nestled in the remote coastal town of Campbeltown, this historic distillery remains family-owned, operated by J&A Mitchell & Company. As the custodians of both Springbank and Glengyle Distilleries, as well as the legendary independent bottler William Cadenhead, they represent one of the last bastions of traditional Scotch whisky craftsmanship in a region that once boasted over thirty active distilleries.

Established in 1828, Springbank is famed for producing three distinct single malt styles—Springbank, Hazelburn, and Longrow—each reflecting the distillery’s dedication to quality and tradition.

This exceptional 27-year-old Springbank was distilled in 1996 and matured in a single sherry cask (#279244), before being bottled at a natural cask strength of 43.8% ABV. Specially selected for the Rare Whisky 101 x JJ Adams collaboration, this is one of just 290 bottles produced, carrying the distinctive label "Mouse Fight – Hadouken."

You may enter the competition online or for free by post by sending your entry to Rare Whisky 101 on a postcard. You must have an account on Rare Whisky 101 for your entry to be processed. All details on your entry MUST correspond to the details on your account to receive the order confirmation and ticket number. You must specify the email address used for your account on your entry. Postal entries received without a registered account cannot be processed.

The live draw will take place on the Rare Whisky 101 Facebook page using Google’s random number generator to select the winning ticket number from all entrants.

Restrictions on Alcohol Delivery & Cash Alternative

If the winner resides in a country where the importation of whisky is restricted, prohibited, or likely to cause significant delays or additional costs, we reserve the right to offer a cash alternative in place of the whisky prize.

• The cash alternative will be equivalent to the recommended retail price (RRP) of the whisky prize in GBP (£).

• It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure they are legally able to receive alcohol shipments in their country.

• If customs restrictions prevent delivery, the winner will be contacted to arrange the cash alternative.

• No additional compensation will be provided beyond the stated RRP.

How is the winner chosen?

The draw is done live on Facebook using a random number generator to determine the winning ticket number. You’ll be contacted directly if you have won.

You may enter the competition for free by complying with the following conditions:

Send your entry by first or second class post to the Promoter at the following address: Rare Whisky 101 Ltd, Floor 4, 5 Renfield Street, Glasgow, G2 5EZ.

Hand-delivered entries will not be accepted and will not be entered into the random draw.

Include with your entry the following information:

• your full name
• your address
• a contact telephone number and email address; and
• your answer to the Competition Question (if there is one)
• you must have a Rare Whisky 101 account to enter and you must state on your entry the email address used for your account
• incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified

You may make multiple free entries for any competition (up to any limit placed on entries by the Promoter) but each free entry must be submitted and posted to the Promoter separately. Bulk entries in one envelope will not be accepted as multiple entries and if a bulk entry is received, it will be counted as one single entry.

By entering the competition, you are confirming that you are eligible to enter and accept these terms and conditions.

Your entry must be received by the Promoter prior to the Closing Date. Entries received after the Closing Date will not be entered into the random draw. Please note we do not receive post on Saturday or Sunday. Proof of posting does not guarantee that you will be entered into the random draw.

The Promoter will not acknowledge receipt of your entry nor confirm if your answer to the Competition Question is correct.
